Ivar Lykke's Government
5. March 1926–28. January 1928
Conservative Party (H) and Freeminded Liberal Party (FV)
Ivar Lykke’s Government was appointed by King Haakon VII in a session of the Council of State on 4 March 1926, effective as of 5 March 1926 at 12 noon. It succeded Johan L. Mowinckel’s First Government, which had lost a vote in the Storting on restrictive economic measures.
In a session of the Council of State on 20 January 1928, Ivar Lykke's Government handed in its resignation, as general elections on 17 October 1927 had not rendered sufficient support for the Government in the Storting. Permission to leave was granted by King Haakon VII in a session of the Council of State on 27 January 1928, effective as of 28 January 1928 at 12 noon. At the same time, Christopher Hornsrud's Government was appointed, effective as of the same point of time.
Secretary to the Council of State in this period:
Secretary to the Council of State Nicolai Leganger
