Ole Henrik Krat Bjørkholt was appointed State Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Care Services on 22 October 2021. Bjørkholt is a primary care specialist, has worked as a general practitioner and in the mental health services, and is currently specialising in public health. He has been the head of the general practitioner services in Tønsberg and has served as Deputy Chief County Medical Officer in Oslo and Viken. He has also served as shop steward in the Norwegian Medical Association. Bjørkholt resides in Drammen Municipality, where he has held local political positions in the Norwegian Labour Party.
