Excellencies, ladies and gentlemen,
It is my pleasure to wish every one welcome here today.
This is an incredible day for all of us.
Thanks to the South African Government and Global Citizen, this city is a powerhouse for sustainable development.
Nelson Mandela -
Just hearing his name brings up memories and thoughts in billions of minds - inspiring memories - constructive thoughts.
We are here to celebrate the centenary of his birth.
We are also here to continue his legacy.
Visualise the immense changes our world has gone through since Nelson Mandela was born.
I think that exercise is the best antidote to a business as usual mindset.
The Sustainable Development Goals hold the promise of putting the world on a sustainable course in just 15 years.
It can be done with a Nelson Mandela mindset.
We must find our innovative spirit now, so that we can achieve the Global Goals by 2030.
Thank you.
