Electronic voting raises several fundamental questions of both democratic, legal, technical and administrative nature. A working committee, led by researcher Bernt Aardal, presented a report on the subject in February 2006.
The Ministry appointed a working committee to give recommendations on the future of electronic elections in Norway. The result of the work is presented in the report "Electronic voting - challenges and opportunities". The working committee considers questions related to electronic voting in Norway; to what extent such procedures are recommended and how they can be implemented. The questions have been considered from democratic, legal, technical and administrative points of view.
