Report for Norway to the OECD.
Annually Norway sends a report to the OECD – Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. The report Migration and Integration 2021–2022 – Report for Norway to the OECD is a contribution to the reporting system on migration for the OECD countries.
The new report covers 2021 and most of 2022, especially concerning new policies. Eight ministries have contributed to the report: the Ministry of Labour and Social Inclusion, the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, the Ministry of Education and Research, the Ministry of Children and Families, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Health and Care Services, the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The report contains statistics on migration, on the composition of immigrants and their Norwegian-born children and on integration indicators in various social areas, mainly based on data from Statistics Norway and the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration. The report presents an overview of immigration and integration policy principles and measures. It covers the major types of migration, integration in general, training, education, labour market issues, housing, health, political participation, child welfare, discrimination, citizenship, public debate and opinion, as well as policies concerning migration and development. The large number of refugees from Ukraine in 2022 and new measures in this regard, are mentioned in the relevant chapters.
