Report to the Storting (white paper)
This white paper describes the Government’s policy for safeguarding biodiversity in Norway, which is designed to play a part in achieving biodiversity targets at both national and international level. The white paper describes biodiversity-related challenges and threats, and the policy instruments the Government will use to deal with them. The Government will take steps to ensure sustainable use of Norwegian nature and prevent the loss of species and ecosystems. It will also continue work to secure the conservation of a representative selection of Norwegian nature. The Government will ensure that the instruments and measures used are effective and clearly targeted.
