Dementia Plan 2025
Plans/strategy | Date: 02/09/2022 | Ministry of Health and Care Services
Dementia Plan 2025 is the third national dementia plan. It is the government's five-year plan (2021–2025) to improve services for people with dementia and their families.
Our overarching goal is to contribute toward a more dementia-friendly society. A dementia-friendly society is a better society for all. A society that promotes inclusion, equality and understanding. This means that we must reduce physical and social barriers in society.
The Government’s objective is to create the patient’s health and care services. In our work on the plan, we have been in dialogue with professional, user and service user organisations for people with dementia and their families, who have made valuable contributions and offered important perspectives for the plan.
