Mineral

The section is responsible for following up the Governments Mineral Strategy and administrating the Norwegian Mineral Act. Critical Raw Materials are essential for a green industrial shift, sustainable value chains, the defence industry and a digital society. The unit is responsible for following up Norways participation in the American initiative Minerals Security Partnership (MSP) and follow the EU Commissions proposal for a Critical Raw Materials Act. We also participate in the EU Commissions Raw Materials Supply Group and contribute in the work with several industrial partnerships.
