Sigrun Wiggen Prestbakmo is a Norwegian politican (Centre Party) and was the Mayor of Salangen Municipality from January 2014 to March 2023. She has been active in politics since the age of 18, and was a representative of Salangen municipal council for several terms and a county council representative in Sør-Trøndelag from 1995-1999.  

She is a qualified child welfare officer and was employed as a therapist at the Office for Children, Youth and Family Affairs prior to becoming a mayor.

In March 2023, she was appointed as State Secretary to the Minister of Local Government and Regional Development in Jonas Gahr Støre’s government.
