Erling Sande, born in 1978, is a Norwegian politician affiliated with the Centre Party. He represented Sogn og Fjordane in the Norwegian Parliament from 2005 to 2013, where he deputized for Liv Signe Navarsete, who held a ministerial position during that time. Following the 2021 election, Sande was elected as a regular representative.

During his youth, Sande held various positions within the Centre Youth. He served as a member of the Bremanger Municipal Council from 1999 to 2003 and the Sogn og Fjordane County Council from 1999 to 2007. In 2003, he became a member of the County Executive Board and was employed as a political advisor for the Centre Party’s parliamentary group.

In 2005, Sande assumed the role of stortingsrepresentant (member of parliament) for Sogn og Fjordane, stepping in as a substitute representative for Minister Liv Signe Navarsete. He later served as the Chair of the Storting’s Energy and Environment Committee from 2009 to 2013 and as the Deputy Leader of the Centre Party’s parliamentary group from 2009 to 2010. Sande chose not to seek re-election to the Storting in 2013.

In 2013, he transitioned to the private sector, becoming the Chief Executive Officer for Strategy and Development at Sogn og Fjordane Energi in Sandane.

Sande holds a cand.mag. degree with a focus on history and social geography, as well as a foundation in comparative politics from the University of Bergen. He resides with his family in Vereide, a locality within Gloppen Municipality.
