Norwegian Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority is the government authority for radiation protection and nuclear saftey.
Norwegian Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority is responsible for ensuring the safe use of radiation sources in medicine, manufacturing and research.
It is also responsible for two research reactors at Halden and at Kjeller and for Norway`s emergency preparedness in the event of nuclear accidents and other major nuclear incidents.
Norwegian Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority monitors natural and man-made radiation, advancing knowledge og the occurrence, risk and effects of radiation.
